Oral 2: conversación con un compañero
Practice for the second speaking test (Interpersonal Oral 2). It is a conversation WITH a partner, so listening to them and answering them counts as much as what you say about yourself.
What the teachers asked for after Oral 1
- Participa activamente: listen, react, and ask follow-up questions about what your partner said.
- Buenas preguntas y respuestas: ask complete questions, and keep your answers in the present tense.
- Consejos específicos: use the class advice structures (es importante / es bueno / hay que / deberías + infinitive).
- Más profundidad: connect your sentences (porque, además, sin embargo, por eso) and add a detail or example.
The test must include four things: your habits, a comparison with your partner, advice, and your opinion. The class pattern is Pregunta → Compara → Consejo → Opinión.

Simulacros del Oral 2
A full conversation with a classmate, 8 turns. Scored on follow-up questions, reactions, clarification, depth and present tense. Do it with help first, then in Modo examen (no text, 40 seconds per turn).
Simulacro del examen
The course tests listening, reading and writing in one sitting. A simulacro runs all three back to back, with timers and no help. You only see your answers at the end, like the real test.
How it works
- Escuchar (10 min): 8 questions (4 multiple choice + 4 true/false). You can play the recording twice. Read the questions first.
- Leer (15 min): a magazine-style text with 8 questions in Spanish.
- Escribir: a CPE task with no plan or starters. Present tense, advice + infinitive, gustar, creo que / pienso que, and plenty of connectors.
- Use headphones, find a quiet room, and put your phone away. When a timer ends, the test moves on by itself.
Each simulacro reuses one text from the Leer, Escuchar and Escribir tabs. For a fresh test, do a simulacro before practising those texts on their own.
Role-play conversations
Pick a situation. Your partner speaks first. Tap the microphone and answer in Spanish, like in the Interpersonal Oral (CIO). After each answer you get feedback on length, connectors and the unit's grammar. Aim for full sentences, give a reason with porque, and ask a question back.
Vocabulario de la clase
These are the exact sets from your class Quizlet (Intermedio 1/2). Hear each word, say it out loud, and let the computer check your pronunciation. Dilo en español shows the English and you say the Spanish. For the advice sentences, Completa el consejo gives you the start and you finish it.
Preguntas rápidas
Oral-exam style: you hear a question, the timer starts, and you answer out loud. Try to talk until the timer runs out. You don't need to be perfect, just keep talking.
Round settings
Tip: a strong answer has 2–3 sentences: the answer, a reason (porque…) and a detail or example (por ejemplo…, además…).
Leer
Practice for the reading test (CIL – Leer). The format follows the class Formativo LEER: a magazine-style text with headed sections, then questions in Spanish (multiple choice, true/false or sí/no), in about 15 minutes. Modo examen starts a 15-minute timer and hides the help. After you check, every answer shows the words in the text that prove it.
How to beat the reading test
- Read the questions first (1 minute). Then you know what to look for.
- Read the title, the intro and the headings. Questions like «Según la sección…» tell you exactly where to look.
- The questions follow the order of the text. The last one is usually the main idea (¿Cuál es la idea principal?).
- Traps: wrong options often repeat real words from the text in the wrong place. Check the meaning, not just the words.
- Watch for NO in a question (¿Qué NO…?) and for absolutes like todos los días, siempre, solo, nunca in true/false statements.
- Use the unit vocabulary: saludable, la alimentación, el sueño, el estrés, los beneficios, es importante… Never leave a question blank.

Escuchar
Training for the listening test (CIE – Escuchar) and its retake. Three steps: short ear drills, full recordings in the class format (4 multiple choice + 4 true/false, two plays), then real voices at real speed.
How to beat the listening test
- Before the audio: read all 8 questions and underline the key word in each (a number, a time, a person, NO). Guess the topic from them.
- First play: listen for the main idea and answer the easy ones. Do not stop to think about one word: you will miss the next sentence.
- Second play: check only the questions you were unsure of. The questions follow the order of the audio.
- Numbers and frequency decide most answers: tres / trece, seis / siete, sesenta / setenta, a veces / casi nunca, cada dos días.
- Traps: no, nunca, tampoco, pero, aunque, sin embargo, en cambio flip the meaning. A true/false statement with siempre, todos, solo is often false.
- Never leave a blank. If you missed it, pick the option that fits the main idea.

2. Grabaciones (class format)
Use exam mode. When you score 7 or 8, repeat with the faster voice.
3. Voces reales (real speed)
The computer voice here is clearer than real people. The test uses real audio, so finish each session with one of the class's own practice recordings:

Method: listen once without the transcript, answer the quiz, listen again, then read the transcript and replay the parts you missed.
Escribir
Practice for the Presentación Escrita (CPE). Pick a task, plan it, and write in Spanish. When you check it, the tool looks at length, structure, connectors, class vocabulary, accents and English words, and tells you what to fix. It never writes for you: the words are yours.

How to use

- Speak clearly in Spanish. Tap the mic again to stop, or just pause for a few seconds.
- Speech recognition needs an internet connection.
If the mic doesn't work
- Click the lock or tune icon left of the address bar → Microphone → Allow, then reload.
- Check that Windows lets the browser use the mic: Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone.
- You can always type your answer instead.
